BOC Aviation Announces New Appointments

BOC Aviation is pleased to announce that Mr. Tony Ramage will be promoted to Head of Structured Finance effective 1 July 2011, and Mr. Hamish Murchison has been appointed as Vice President, Marketing, Asia Pacific and Middle East with effect from today.  Both positions are based in Singapore.

Mr. Ramage joined BOC Aviation in 2001 and brings to the Company a wealth of knowledge from manufacturer, airline and leasing company perspectives. He began his aviation career in the marketing and sales departments of British Aerospace Regional Aircraft Ltd, and was the General Manager of an Air New Zealand subsidiary before joining BOC Aviation.  Mr. Ramage is currently Executive Vice President, Marketing, Asia Pacific and Middle East.  In his new position, Mr. Ramage will report to Mr. Steven Townend, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Commercial Officer. 

Mr. Murchison spent seven years with AWAS, first in its Business and Legal Group and latterly as a Vice President of Sales, EMEA, based in Dublin where he had responsibility for origination of aircraft leases and sales.  A lawyer by training, Mr. Murchison practiced commercial law prior to joining AWAS and is admitted as a Solicitor in New South Wales, Australia.  He will be responsible for growing BOC Aviation’s customer base in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and Middle East, and reports to Mr. Graham Lees, Head of Marketing, Asia Pacific and Middle East.

Mr. Robert Martin, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of BOC Aviation, said the Company has embarked on its next stage of growth following the replenishment of its aircraft order book last year.  “Both Tony and Hamish have proven track records in originating and closing transactions and these moves will further strengthen the revenue side of our business.”
