BOC Aviation Exercises Options for More Airbus A320 Aircraft and Celebrates Delivery of its 100th A320 Family Aircraft

BOC Aviation has exercised options for two A320 aircraft to be delivered in the fourth quarter of this year.  In addition, BOC Aviation will celebrate the delivery of its 100th A320 family aircraft directly ordered from Airbus this week.  The aircraft will be leased to South African Airways.

Mr. Robert Martin, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BOC Aviation, said that to date the Company has committed to acquire 150 of this popular aircraft type, including commitments made to support customers under purchase and leaseback transactions.  “We are an investor in aircraft who works hard with industry partners to meet the needs of our airline customers.   This week, we are delighted to celebrate not only the delivery of our 100th A320 aircraft but also our strong and close partnership with Airbus,” he said.  In total, BOC Aviation has ordered 136 Airbus aircraft and acquired another 27 on purchase and leaseback transactions from airlines around the world.
