Senior Manager, Digital Transformation & Data (Digital Transformation Lead)


Reporting to Head of Digital Transformation & Data (DT&D), the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Use case identification and prioritisation
    • Identifying and prioritising digital transformation use cases that deliver clear business value.
    • Engaging with business users across the Company and the IT team to identify challenges and improvement opportunities and translating them into clear problem statements and outcome-based initiatives.
    • Supporting prioritisation of initiatives based on value, solution complexity, technology readiness, and strategic alignment.

     

  • Solution design and architecture alignment
    • Ensuring proposed solutions align with the Company’s enterprise architecture, application landscape, and data strategy.
    • Leading early solution design discussions to agree the most appropriate technology, solution approach, and implementation plan.
    • Providing solution and architecture oversight across digital initiatives.

       

  • Vendor selection
    • Leading vendor evaluations and providing input into vendor selection decisions.
    • Ensuring vendor scope of work, proposed cost, and contract terms are consistent with Company standards and the agreed solution design.
    • Facilitating and obtaining necessary internal management approvals for projects.

       

  • Project enablement and oversight
    • Enabling project managers to focus on delivery by providing strong pre‑project definition and solution readiness.
    • Providing ongoing guidance during delivery on scope interpretation and solution consistency.
    • Identifying and escalating risks relating to scope creep, architectural misalignment, or delivery feasibility.
    • Promoting structured, transparent, and repeatable delivery best practices across initiatives.

     

  • Cross functional collaboration
    • Supporting cross‑functional discussions and problem solving for initiatives that cut across departments.
    • Managing communication consistency across digital initiatives.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum ten years of experience in enterprise technology, with a track record of leading in-house transformation initiatives covering solution design, enterprise architecture and delivery.
  • Preferred certifications include TOGAF (or equivalent Enterprise Architecture) and project delivery certifications like PMP or PRINCE2.
  • Strong experience operating at the interface of business, IT, and vendors.
  • Proven experience shaping initiatives in early phases of the project (use cases, solution options, business cases).
  • Experience supporting vendor selections, vendor evaluations, and contract scope definition.
  • Experience working with enterprise systems (ERP, business applications, data platforms and integration tools).
  • Good understanding of enterprise architecture and solution design principles.
  • Strong understanding of project governance frameworks and delivery methodologies.
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently, with sound judgement and pragmatic decision‑making.
