Data & Analytics Lead, Digital Transformation & Data
Reporting to the Head of DT&D, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Main Responsibilities:
- Implementing data governance framework, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across the organisation.
- Establishing best practices for data management, including data collection, storage, and analysis.
- Ensuring compliance with data regulations and standards.
- Participating in the development of data policies, including data retention, data privacy, data use, and data regulations.
- Defining and implementing the company’s long-term technology strategy and innovations roadmap across analytics, data engineering, and data platform.
- Interpreting and delivering impactful strategic plans to improve data integration, data quality, and data delivery in support of business initiatives and roadmap.
- Building partnerships with internal stakeholders across the organisation for managing data as a business asset - to exploit data and analytics capabilities to maximise the value derived from data assets.
- Engaging with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide tailored analytics solutions.
- Working closely with IT and business units to ensure data infrastructure supports analytics initiatives.
- Fostering partnerships with external vendors and data providers to enhance data capabilities.
- Providing inputs to data, analytics and the AI strategy & roadmap that are aligned to business strategy and DT&D’s direction, while executing them within budgets and timelines.
- Challenging entrenched practices and processes and providing viable alternatives that can help the organisation become more efficient and effective.
- Ensuring compliance with the company’s policies and procedures.
- Leading data, analytics & AI initiatives and providing regular updates to stakeholders and management team.
- Developing cost estimation and performing cost benefit analysis on identified use cases to help prioritise initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in design and implementation of data models for enterprise data warehouse initiatives.
- Experience leading projects involving data warehousing, data modelling, and data analysis.
- Design experience in platforms such as Azure Databricks.
- Strong understanding of the concepts, methods, and techniques such as diagnostic, descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics, machine learning, natural language processing, data governance, data quality and data stewardship practices.
- Good understanding of programming languages, data integration tools and business intelligence tools like Microsoft Power BI, Oracle Analytics or Tableau.
- Exceptional leadership skills with demonstrated ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and creating problem-solving skills.
- Organised and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
