BOC Aviation Leases Five New A330200 Freighter Aircraft to Hainan Airlines

BOC Aviation announced today that five new A330-200 freighter aircraft will be placed on long term lease to Hainan Airlines.  The aircraft are scheduled to be delivered in 2012 and 2013 and will be operated by Yangtze River Express Airlines, a subsidiary of the HNA Group.  With this transaction, BOC Aviation will be the largest lessor of the A330-200 freighter aircraft into China.

Mr. Chen Feng, Chairman of HNA Group said he is pleased to work with BOC Aviation on Yangtze River Express Airline’s first Airbus freighter aircraft.  “These aircraft will meet our capacity demands which have been increasing on the back of the global economic recovery.  We look forward to continuing our rewarding partnership with BOC Aviation.”

“We have a long and lasting relationship with the HNA Group that dates back to 1998,” said Mr. Robert Martin, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of BOC Aviation.  “This is our first cargo aircraft order with a manufacturer and we are pleased to further consolidate our presence in the Chinese market by leasing them to Hainan Airlines.”
