SALE Delivers the First of Two A320s to MartinairMARTINAIR

Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise (SALE) took delivery of the first of two new A320-200 aircraft yesterday for lease to new customer Martinair of the Netherlands. The second A320 will be delivered to the airline by the end this month. The aircraft, powered by IAE V2500 engines, are the first A320s to join the Dutch carrier’s fleet and the first new A320s to be delivered to the Netherlands.

Speaking at a delivery ceremony at Airbus headquarters in Toulouse, France, Robert Martin Managing Director SALE, said that the placement of the A320s with Martinair reflected the mutually beneficial relationship which can be developed between an airline, leasing company and manufacturers.

“Together we have been able to provide Martinair with an effective means of acquiring these new aircraft,” he said. “We look forward to developing a long-term and productive partnership with Martinair as a highly valued addition to our customer list and building further on our successful relationship with Airbus.”

The delivery of the aircraft brings the total number of A320 family aircraft acquired by SALE to 32 with another 26 on firm order for future delivery. The company currently has A320 family leases in place with airlines in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and North and South America.
