SALE Leases Two A320s to Volareweb.Com

Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise (SALE) announced at the Paris Air Show that it has signed contracts with Italian independent airline group Volare for the medium-term lease of two new IAE V2500-powered A320 aircraft. Both aircraft will be delivered at the end of this week and will be operated by the carrier’s low cost subsidiary Volareweb.com.

The new lease agreements represent the second transaction between the Singaporean lessor and the Italian group, with Volare Airlines already operating one SALE A321. Both of the new aircraft are being configured specifically for Volareweb.com, with a single class layout.

Robert Martin, Managing Director of SALE, said that SALE was pleased to be able to play a role in the development of low cost air travel in Italy.

“Volareweb.com is already establishing a reputation for reliable low fares service on both domestic and European routes,” he said. “We look forward to a long-term partnership with the carrier.”

The Volareweb.com route network currently links 13 Italian cities, with international service extending to nine destinations in Europe. As with other successful low cost carriers, Volareweb.com flies primarily to secondary airports.
