BMED Leases New A320 from SALE

UK-based airline BMED has finalised a contract to lease an additional A320 from Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise (SALE). The aircraft (MSN 2441) will be delivered new from Airbus in May 2005 and will be leased to the carrier for a period of ten years. It will join an existing fleet of six A320 Family aircraft at the airline, including two others leased from SALE.
As with the rest of the BMED fleet, the new aircraft will be powered by IAE V2500 engines and will fly in the colours of British Airways, operating under a franchise agreement on services to the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa.
