Chile's LAN Airlines Becomes New Customer for SALESALE

Santiago-based LAN Airlines has become a new customer for SALE, following the lease of one Airbus A320 to the carrier. The aircraft, MSN 990, has joined an existing fleet of 14 A320s flying on the carrier's regional route network.

Robert Martin, Managing Director & CEO of SALE, said that the company was especially pleased to welcome LAN Airlines as a new customer.

SALE is the leading Asia-based aircraft leasing company, with a fleet of 67 aircraft currently flying with 30 airlines worldwide. The company also has firm orders with Airbus and Boeing for 28 aircraft for delivery between now and the end of 2008.

LAN Airlines is the largest domestic and international carrier in Chile and leads a Latin American alliance of airlines also including LAN Peru, LAN Ecuador and LAN Argentina. The LAN alliance route network extends to destinations in the Americas, Europe, Asia and the South Pacific. LAN Airlines is a member of the global oneworld alliance.
