BOC Aviation Welcomes Students From U.S. Business School

30 Jun 2015

BOC Aviation hosted 18 students and four faculty staff from the Boehly Center for Excellence in Finance, of the College of William & Mary, Virginia as part of their Singapore programme to learn about the finance functions of diverse industries and the world of international business.
Peter Negline, Head of Strategy & Market Research at BOC Aviation, was on hand to hold an hour-long discussion on aircraft as an asset class, the role of aircraft lessors, as well as broader macro factors driving business decisions. The class was lively and engaged.
The students, who ranged in age from 19 to 22, are finance majors at the William & Mary’s Mason School of Business. The College of William & Mary is a liberal arts school based in Virginia, U.S.A. and most students enter the business school in their third year. The students who visited BOC Aviation for the event are making their first trip to Asia. One student will join Bank of China as an intern after her studies, we learnt. On their visit, they had also visited Singapore Airlines, Pratt & Whitney and the Economic Development Board of Singapore.
