BOC Aviation Closes US$1.5 Billion Syndicated Revolving Credit Facility

31 Oct 2016

BOC Aviation Limited (“BOC Aviation” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that it has closed a US$1.5 billion unsecured syndicated revolving credit facility (the “Facility”), increased from an initial launch size of US$1 billion. The Facility is comprised of two US$750 million tranches with tenors of three years and five years, respectively. The Facility is the largest financing transaction to be closed by BOC Aviation. The borrower under the Facility is BOC Aviation Capital Limited and the Facility is guaranteed by BOC Aviation.

DBS Bank Ltd., Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited, United Overseas Bank Limited, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd., BNP Paribas, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Westpac Banking Corporation and Citigroup Global Markets Singapore Pte. Ltd. are the Original Mandated Lead Arrangers and Bookrunners for the Facility. Participating in the Facility are 29 financial institutions, including 14 new lenders to the Company.

“We are very pleased to have closed our largest ever single financing transaction,” said Phang Thim Fatt, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of BOC Aviation. “The strong interest that the Facility received in general syndication from both our existing and new lenders is a clear demonstration of confidence in the Company’s robust credit profile and strong growth prospects.”

“The successful closing of the Facility once again illustrates the Company’s ability to expand and diversify its sources of funding to support execution of its business strategy,” Mr. Phang added. “We believe the Facility will significantly enhance the flexibility of the Company’s existing financing platform and will complement our well-established debt capital markets issuance programme.”
