BOC Aviation Sells Its Final Pre-2007 Owned Aircraft

20 Jun 2016

BOC Aviation Limited (“BOC Aviation” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that it has sold its final four owned aircraft acquired prior to 2007, with no aircraft in the owned fleet now older than 10 years. The four aircraft sold included three Airbus A320 family aircraft and one Boeing 747 freighter.

Commenting on the sale, Robert Martin, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BOC Aviation, said, “We set ourselves an internal goal of selling all aircraft in our owned fleet that pre-dated our December 2006 acquisition by Bank of China by the end of 2016, and we have achieved this six months ahead of target. “

“This demonstrates our proven track record in selling aircraft to manage portfolio risk and is consistent with the company’s stated strategy of maintaining a young owned fleet, which - at only 3.3 years as at 31 December 2015 - is one of the youngest in the industry,” he said.
