BOC Aviation Delivers First of Seven 737-800s to Jet Airways

13 Mar 2008

BOC Aviation has delivered the first of seven new Boeing 737-800s to Jet Airways.  A second aircraft will be delivered at the end of this month and the remaining five are scheduled for delivery in 2010 and 2011.  All aircraft are on long term leases.

The delivery took place in Seattle with the aircraft flying to New Delhi.  BOC Aviation first announced that it was leasing two aircraft to Jet Airways in July last year and the airline subsequently signed agreements to lease another five aircraft.

“We are delighted to see our aircraft flying in Jet Airways’ livery”, said Steven Townend, BOC Aviation’s Chief Commercial Officer.  “It is the leading Indian airline and we look forward to working with them again in the future.”

BOC Aviation is the leading Asia-based aircraft leasing company with a portfolio of 78 modern aircraft flying with airlines worldwide. In addition, the company has 62 aircraft on firm order for delivery through to 2013.

BOC Aviation is 100% owned by Bank of China.
