BOC Aviation Leases Six B737-800 Aircraft to SpiceJet

BOC Aviation has agreed to lease six Boeing 737-800 aircraft to SpiceJet to expand its routes in the Indian domestic market. SpiceJet has just taken delivery of the first of the six aircraft, with the balance to be delivered in 2014.

“BOC Aviation welcomes a new customer in SpiceJet, as we grow our fleet and strengthen our position,’’ said Robert Martin, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BOC Aviation.

BOC Aviation is the leading Asia-based aircraft leasing company with a portfolio of 231 owned and managed aircraft operated by 56 airlines and 33 countries worldwide, with another 106 aircraft on firm order. The Company’s fleet has an average owned aircraft age of less than four years. 

BOC Aviation, 100% owned by Bank of China, will be celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
