BOC Aviation Delivers New Airbus A330 to Iberia With New Livery

BOC Aviation Pte. Ltd. (“BOC Aviation”) is pleased to announce that Iberia, the Spanish carrier, has taken delivery of its fifth A330-300 from BOC Aviation.

The aircraft is the first to carry Iberia’s new livery and is named after Spanish King Juan Carlos I.

Iberia, an International Airlines Group (“IAG”) airline, has now taken delivery of nine Airbus aircraft out of 12 leased from BOC Aviation, comprising four new A320-200s and five new A330-300s. The remaining three A330-300 aircraft are to be delivered by April 2014.   

“Iberia is keen to upgrade its fleet to meet the challenges of today’s aviation industry conditions and the delivery of these aircraft by BOC Aviation helps Iberia strategically by adding financial and operational flexibility to the fleet,” said Javier Sánchez-Prieto, Chief Financial Officer of Iberia.

“We are honoured to deliver the aircraft that’s named after His Majesty King Juan Carlos I and to finance the aircraft that carries Iberia’s new livery,” said Mr. Robert Martin, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of BOC Aviation. “Our ability to deliver these large numbers of aircraft in a short period demonstrates our ability to assist our airline customers with innovative solutions.”
