BOC Aviation Signs New Five-Year Aircraft Maintenance Agreement with ST Aerospace

23 May 2013

BOC Aviation Pte. Ltd. ("BOC Aviation") is pleased to announce that it has entered into a new five-year agreement with ST Aerospace to maintain Airbus 320 and Boeing 737 airframes. The two companies have had a business relationship since 1996.

BOC Aviation has in place a framework of support services from airframe and engine maintenance and repair operators (“MROs”) and technical services when the Company repossesses aircraft.

ST Aerospace, a leading aviation engineering and MRO service provider, has a global network to support BOC Aviation. ST Aerospace has been instrumental in assisting the transition of an A319-100 (MSN 2664) for delivery to Bangkok Airways during which it carried out a heavy C-check, repairs, parts replacement, reconfiguration and re-painting, to meet the standards for a smooth transition of the aircraft to the new operator. The quality of the work is a vote of confidence in the quality of ST Aerospace’s services, carried out in Singapore at its Seletar facility.

Robert Martin, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BOC Aviation, commented, “Having a reliable and technically efficient partner in ST Aerospace is a key advantage of being based in Singapore, the centre of the world’s fastest growing airline markets. As BOC Aviation grows, we like to have such a suite of services through ST Aerospace’s global network to enable the smooth transition of any aircraft that we may have to repossess in the future.”

BOC Aviation is the leading Asia-based aircraft leasing company with a portfolio of 220 owned and managed aircraft operated by airlines worldwide and another 85 aircraft on firm order. The Company has one of the youngest fleets in the industry with an average owned aircraft age of less than four years.

BOC Aviation is 100% owned by Bank of China, one of the largest banks in the world by market value. The Company has passed its first US$1 billion in cumulative net profits under Bank of China.

BOC Aviation will be celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
