Manager, Compliance
Reporting to Senior Manager, Compliance, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in identifying potential compliance risks related to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Supporting the development, review, and implementation of compliance policies that align with the Company’s strategic and operational goals.
- Contributing to the regular review and continuous improvement of the compliance programme to ensure it remains effective and relevant.
- Helping monitor and report on the effectiveness of compliance controls and assisting in resolving compliance issues in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Working closely with management to support the implementation and monitoring of internal controls that address compliance risks.
- Providing administrative and coordination support to the internal compliance committee, including preparing meeting materials and documenting discussions and actions.
- Liaising with business units and internal audit teams to facilitate internal control evaluations and follow-up actions based on audit findings.
- Assisting in coordinating legal and compliance guidance on cross-border regulatory matters, including Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Fraud, Personal Data Protection, Sanctions, and Company law where relevant.
- Supporting the planning and delivery of compliance training programs and internal communications to raise awareness and understanding of compliance responsibilities.
- Contributing to ad-hoc compliance and projects as assigned by the Senior Manager, Compliance, supporting cross-functional initiatives to enhance the Company’s compliance framework.
- Providing support to the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Department in the implementation of ESG and corporate social responsibility engagement activities that align with the Company’s purpose and goals.
- Assisting in monitoring ESG industry and regulatory developments for key changes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assisting in periodic and yearly ESG-related data collection for internal and external reporting, aligning with relevant sustainability frameworks.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business Administration, Law or other relevant subjects.
- At least three years of relevant experience in areas of compliance, legal or ESG related roles for an international organisation.
- Adaptable, diligent, assertive, confident in engaging at all levels, able to communicate well, and abreast of compliance and ESG obligations impacting the organisation.
