Manager, Technical
Reporting to Senior Vice President and Deputy Head of Technical, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Asset Management
- Managing the asset inspection programme, planning and execution (inhouse and outsourced)
- Managing asset management processes such as asset utilisation
- Management of airline maintenance reserves claims and associated database
Technical Data Management
- Monitoring technical data and information for BOC Aviation’s owned and managed fleet
- Maintaining and upkeeping a technical records filing system
- Control of archived documents (in both electronics and hardcopy format)
- Continuously improving the use of company’s technical archiving system
- Acting as focal point for all information systems used by the Technical Department and, where necessary, acting as super-user or user administrator.
- Managing aircraft and engine OEM on-line information portals
- Supporting VP Technical in maintaining asset status in the asset management system
- Quality control and issue of aircraft specifications for marketing purposes, ensuring current assets data are up to-date
Technical Finance
- Providing technical cash flow forecasts for managed portfolios, including monthly reporting, liaising with other related department regarding invoices processing and cash flow matters
- Composing asset surveillance budgets (annual budgets and specific budgets for lessees/aircraft)
- Developing and maintaining modification cost benchmark database
- Keeping track of general terms agreements (GTAs), conducting RFP for MRO and technical services, negotiating GTAs and technical agreements together with other relevant Company stakeholders
Other tasks
- Acting as backup to the Technical Administative Executive for tasks such as purchase order generation and invoice processing as required
- Other tasks and projects as directed by the Head of Technical or the SVP Technical
- Developing, updating and continuously improving associated policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Degree or degree equivalent in Aerospace Engineering or related major.
- At least two to five years of relevant working experience in maintenance, planning or engineering function in an airline, MRO or OEM.
- Finance/ economic education or experience in airline/MRO finance/ economics.
- Good understanding of aircraft records is essential.
- Experience in airlines/ MRO ERP or maintenance IT system is essential
- Possess good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly modelling in MS Excel.
- Good communication skills, self-organised, neat and meticulous.
- Diligent and able to work under pressure and complete tasks within tight deadlines.
