BOC Aviation Selects IAE Engines for New A320 Family Aircraft

Cumulative orders of IAE V2500 engines exceed 180 in total

BOC Aviation has signed an exclusive agreement with IAE International Aero Engines for the firm order of V2500 engines to power 25 A320 Family aircraft newly ordered from Airbus.  The aircraft are due for delivery from 2012 onwards.

This exclusive order builds upon a preferred relationship which has existed between BOC Aviation and IAE for over a decade.  The continuation of this relationship will allow BOC Aviation and IAE to provide customers with reliable engines that are popular with airlines operating these aircraft types.  BOC Aviation has taken delivery of 63 V2500-powered aircraft and, including today’s announcement, now has another 30 V2500-powered aircraft on order.  In total, BOC Aviation has now ordered a total of 93 V2500-powered aircraft.
