BOC Aviation Announces New Chairman

BOC Aviation is pleased to announce that Mr. Chen Siqing is the new Chairman of BOC Aviation.  He takes over from Mdm. Zhang Yanling who has retired from the position.

Mr. Chen is a member of the senior management of Bank of China (“BOC”) and has served as Executive Vice President of BOC and President of Corporate Banking Committee since June 2008.  He has specific responsibilities for Corporate & Institutional Banking business which includes Global Corporate Banking, International Trade Services, Global Financial Institutions, RMB Settlement as well as Investment Banking Services.

Mr. Chen joined BOC in August 1990. From January 2002 to May 2008, Mr. Chen served successively as General Manager of the Risk Management Department of the Head Office and then as General Manager of the Guangdong Provincial Branch. Prior to that, Mr. Chen held senior positions at BOC Hunan and Fujian provincial branches and also at The China and South Sea Bank, Hong Kong.

Mr. Chen graduated from Hubei College of Finance and Economics in 1982 and received an MBA degree from the Murdoch University of Australia in 1999.  He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

In addition, the Company has 69 aircraft on firm order and another two on committed purchase and leaseback.  BOC Aviation has one of the youngest fleets in the industry with an average aircraft age of less than four years.
