BOC Aviation Firms Options for More IAE V2500 Engines
15 Feb 2012
BOC Aviation has firmed up options for more IAE V2500 engines to power four A320 aircraft. The four option conversions confirmed by BOC Aviation are in addition to the December 2010 announcement of BOC Aviation’s exclusive agreement, bringing the total to twenty-nine V2500 powered A320 family aircraft.
Mr. Robert Martin, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BOC Aviation said, “We continue to see the operational advantages in powering our A320 family aircraft with V2500 engines in terms of performance and reliability. The V2500 has proven itself a winning combination with our airlines over and over again.”
“BOC Aviation is yet another example of a customer that maintains great confidence in our product and enjoys doing business with us,” said IAE President Mr. Ian Aitken. “We have a long-term relationship with them that has consistently grown stronger since their first V2500 order over a decade ago. We’ve demonstrated our commitment to them as a customer by continuously improving our product.”
